About the AUTHORS

Elaine Cougler has 22 yrs of experience teaching high school students and a BA degree. Her teaching knowledge covers English, Computers, French and Business subjects. Elaine’s professional teaching experience includes five different secondary schools and teaching all ability levels of high school students. Elaine was Assistant Head of the English Department at a composite high school for several years.

Ron Cougler has 30 yrs of experience teaching high school students, an HBA degree, and a CMA. Ron’s professional teaching experience includes Business Studies and Computer classes at six different secondary schools and all ability levels of high school students. Ron was a Business/Technology Head for several years in various schools.

Ron has written and published two accounting textbooks, Introductory Accounting (John Wiley & Sons); and Accounting Applications: A Systems Approach (Nelson Canada; co-author Norman Shoemaker). He has given "standing room only" teacher workshops in various cities across Canada--Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
